Complete electric split system air conditioners
An electric split system pairs an outdoor AC condenser with a matched indoor electric air handler. It's the standard setup for homes without gas heat, with the air handler installed in a closet, attic or garage. We carry more than 70 complete systems from Goodman, Rheem, Rheem Select, Oxbox by Trane, Frigidaire, Tuttokool and Airevantage, from 1.5 to 5 tons.
Efficiency and comfort options
Most systems here are 14 or 15 SEER2, with higher-efficiency options up to 18 SEER2. Every system uses R-32 or R-454B, the lower-GWP refrigerants required in systems made since 2025.
Single-stage
Runs at full output whenever it's on. The lowest-cost option.
Two-stage
Runs at a lower setting most of the time, for steadier temperatures and better dehumidification.
Variable-speed
Adjusts output in small steps for the most even comfort and the lowest running cost.
Adding heat
An AC split system cools only. For heat from the same air handler, add an electric heat kit sized to your home and the air handler model. For efficient heating and cooling from one outdoor unit, compare a heat pump split system.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Manufacturer warranties apply when a licensed HVAC contractor installs the equipment.
Frequently asked questions
What's included?
The outdoor condenser and the matched indoor air handler. Line sets, thermostats and installation supplies are sold separately.
Can I replace only my condenser?
Only if your existing air handler matches the new unit's refrigerant and capacity. Otherwise, a matched system is the safer choice.
