An electric tankless water heater heats water on demand instead of keeping a tank hot, so it takes up less space and avoids standby heat loss. We carry Rheem Professional Classic models in 11, 18 and 24 kW.
Choosing a tankless water heater
- Size for flow, not tank size: a larger kW unit delivers more hot water at once. Incoming water temperature matters, so homes in colder regions need more kW for the same flow.
- Check your electrical service: electric tankless heaters draw a lot of current and need dedicated circuits. Confirm the breaker and wire requirements on the product page with your electrician before ordering.
- Point-of-use or whole-home: smaller units suit a single sink or bathroom; larger units can serve more fixtures at once.
- Maintenance: flush the unit periodically in hard-water areas. Flushing kits are under Water Heater Supplies.
Installation should be done by a licensed plumber or electrician.
