Why Frigidaire is a homeowner favorite
The Frigidaire FSA4BE condenser uses a single-stage Copeland scroll compressor and a heavy-duty PSC fan motor. The outdoor coil is all aluminum, so the unit is lighter, holds less refrigerant, and resists corrosion better than an older copper-tube coil. The cabinet is galvanized steel with a coated finish. Side panels come off without removing the top grille, which lets a technician reach the compressor and controls without stripping the whole unit. A high-pressure switch shuts the system down if pressures climb too high. A composite base pan cuts noise and does not rust the way a steel pan does.
Each unit ships pre-charged with R-454B, the lower-impact refrigerant that meets the 2025 EPA limit, and includes a liquid-line filter drier for field installation. It uses a standard 24-volt thermostat and pairs with Frigidaire coils and air handlers such as the B65B.
