The TAC condenser sits outside and does the heavy cooling work. The T4AH air handler sits in the closet, attic, garage, or crawl space and moves cooled air through the ducts you already have.

These systems are efficient enough to meet current standards and keep monthly cooling costs in check compared with an aging unit. The outdoor condenser uses an energy-efficient compressor and an ECM fan motor with a blade design meant for smoother airflow and quieter operation. A powder-coated galvanized cabinet and louvered coil guard help it stand up to weather. A factory high-pressure switch and thermal overload protection help the compressor shut down before a fault turns into a major repair.

Indoors, the T4AH air handler uses a multi-speed PSC blower. The cabinet is foil-faced insulated and factory sealed for low air leakage, so more of the cooled air stays in the ducts. An all-aluminum A-coil built strong, and a tool-less filter door makes routine filter changes simpler. The unit installs upflow, downflow, horizontal left, or horizontal right, so it fits most existing air-handler locations. Primary and secondary drain pans come standard.

The system runs on R-454B, a lower-global-warming-potential refrigerant, with a factory-installed refrigerant sensor for safer operation. Optional field-installed electric heat kits add backup or supplemental heat where a gas furnace is not used.
