RHEEM RUDD Defrost Control Board 47-102684-83
Official OEM Defrost Control Board Kit for Rheem HVAC equipment
The HVAC defrost control senses coil temperature or airflow through the coil, and only activates defrost if it detects the presence of ice.
The heat pump defrost board shifts the system from heat to cool modes, forcing hot gas from the compressor discharge into the frozen outdoor coil.
The condensing fan is shut off to increase the speed of defrosting.
